Dr Dodo e Le Streghe
Band Italiana di Firenze in attivita` negli anni 80.Il gruppo nasce tra la collaborazione di diversi performers e musicisti che gia` erano in diverse precedenti formazioni. Riunendosi raccolgono le loro esperienze e decidono di registrare diversi brani con i quali poi si esibiranno in memorabili performances in giro per l`italia,il punto di partenza e' pero' Firenze divenuta ormai capitale incontrastata del nuovo Rock Italiano. Si esibiscono in varie manifestazioni e molti locali della citta`,chiamati spesso ad animare varie serate nei molti locali della citta` proponendo esibizioni che spaziano dalla musica sconfinando nella teatralita` nella scena fiorentina di quegli anni venivano considerate stravaganti dando spazio spesso a polemiche sulla loro autenticita`.
Restano nella memoria le loro performances di brani tratti da Musical come Cabaret e Rocky Horror Show dove Dr Dodo e Le Streghe cantavano e ballavano con coreografie curate da Peggy Hammerschmidt .
Il loro repertorio spazia a tutto tondo in vari generi musicali non dimenticando mai la spontaneita` e le varie espressioni artistche dalle quali attingevano dando cosi la loro interpretazione.
Nascono cosi vari progetti che andranno avanti nei successivi due anni e che sono documentati in varie registrazioni sonore.Cominciano cosi vari tours in giro per l`Italia, dalle piazze ai locali piu diversi passando dai Night-clubs alle discoteche ai locali piu alternative degli anni 80..
Anarchy In The Uk, brano dei Sex Pistols diventa Anarchy 4 Italy nella interpretazione libera e irriverente della band che utilizza il brano come finale a soprpresa dei loro live.
Questa registrazione e` del 1986.
Dr.Dodo E Le Streghe saranno in attivita` sino al 1987
Dodo e Gila parteciperanno insieme a vari musicisti della scena wave fiorentina sotto il nome di Banda D`Amore al Rock Contest 1987.
